Day 2: Travelling Back in Time

After an exciting first day we woke up energised and ready for the next few weeks. We had  a full Israeli breakfast, then boarded the coach and set off to Mount Arbel. We began our hike taking in the beautiful vistas. we climbed to the top to the Wadi Chaman with its amazing views over the Kinneret and the snow topped mount Hermon in the Golan Heights. It is also close to the ruins of the ancient Jewish settlement with a Synagogue from the 4th Century C.E.

We then traveled back in time to Kfar Kedem where we recreated the day to day life of the ancient land and dressed up in maids clothing and learned how the farmers ploughed their fields and made bread. we made our way to a bonfire like area and made our own bread.

Riding donkeys whilst being dressed up was a really interesting experience!!

We then headed back to Tiberias for a spectacular view point over the beautiful Sea of Galilee.

On arrival at the hotel we had some free time before heading to a restaurant for dinner, after which we relaxed and played games, laughing constantly throughout.

"The first day was a great opener to Tour, we had a satisfying hike, a good lunch, got to dress up as old time maids, see beautiful views and time travel, all in one day!" Ben Markham
